Join us for our Outdoor Adventure Day Camp in Almont, MI
June 16th and 18th

Students can attend one day or both days!

Just $50/day for Homeschool Connections members and $60/day for nonmembers.

All students Kdg -6th grade are invited to attend - not just homeschooled students.

Students should bring their own lunch. We will provide snacks, oranges, apples, and water.

Students should dress for the weather. Classes will be held outside rain or shine.

Please pack the following items for your child: extra clothes, sunscreen, a water bottle, bug spray, a hat, and a lint roller.

Parents can drop kids off or stay on-site. Please, no younger siblings on-site. Nearby parks include General Squire Park (water park may be open), Almont Community Park (downtown with a river through it and a playground), and Seven Ponds Nature Center.

Parents who plan to stay should bring their own lawn chairs.

Class Descriptions:
Amazing Butterflies: Learn butterfly anatomy in a fun and memorable way as well as the four stages of the miraculous metamorphosis of butterflies and moths. This class includes hands-on and close-up examples of each stage of butterfly development. Each student will take home their own caterpillar habitat to observe a caterpillar as it transforms and grows.
Survival Skills and Adventure: In this one-day survival class, students will learn practical outdoor basics through hands-on activities, teamwork, and fun challenges! Kids will learn skills such as fire building and safety, first aid, knot tying, camp set-up, and basic orienteering.
Chemistry - Non-Newtonian Fluids: What is a non-Newtonian fluid and what can we do with them? Participants will explore how these unusual materials respond to force, pressure, and motion while discovering the chemistry behind their unique and surprising properties.
Physics - Water Fun: Students will explore physics through hands-on experiments to discover how water can act as a projectile. Participants will test how force, angle, and pressure affect motion and distance in fun launch challenges.
