Averil Hepler To All Instructors

I started working with children at a very young age. I helped raise my brother, who is on the spectrum, and eventually began volunteering in programs for children with special needs. In high school, I explored a wide variety of interests including theater, choir, track and field, weightlifting, advanced art, education practicum, and Optimist Club! Many of which I have hobbies in my adult life.

When I am not at school or working, I enjoy spending time outdoors and going on adventures with friends. I am very involved in my church community and serve as a leader within the young adult ministry. Over the years, I have completed some college coursework while also gaining hands-on experience through nannying and working in child care.

I love reading, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts, especially topics related to education, history, and holistic health. One day, I hope to homeschool my own children on a homestead centered around faith, intentional living, and mission work. My passion for learning was deeply shaped by teachers and mentors who encouraged, inspired, and supported me throughout my life. I am excited to be a light, build meaningful relationships with students and families, and create a supportive environment where children feel encouraged to grow, explore, and love learning.
