This is the PUBLIC Signup!
If you are a member of Homeschool Connections, please log in to receive the discounted price!
Sunshine to Syrup: Participants will have the opportunity to follow the path from summer sunshine to sweet maple syrup and discover how nature’s food factories (leaves) produce sugar through photosynthesis. The program will start in a classroom with information and demonstration, and then continue outside on the Sugar Maple Loop trail with trailside demonstrations where students will learn about the basics of sugar bush operation and forest ecology. Each participant will also receive a sample of maple sugar candy.
Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the outside portion of the presentation with hat, boots, and gloves for cold weather.
You must sign up and pay for all attendees ages 4 and up. Due to classroom capacity limits, children under age 4 are not able to participate in the classroom portion of the program. There is a very small play area in the exhibition hall which could accommodate a few little ones who would need to be supervised by an adult during this time.
