Class Descriptions:
Nature Detectives: Budding scientists will become “nature detectives” as they search, discover, investigate, and explore the natural world through hands-on outdoor science activities that spark curiosity, observation skills, and a love of nature.
The Wonderful World of Bees: Students will discover the fascinating world of honey bees through hands-on demonstrations, beekeeping equipment, and a live observation hive. They'll learn about the bee life cycle, the roles of queen, worker, and drone bees, how bees make honey and pollinate our food, and why these remarkable insects are so important to our environment.
Dig Into Composting: Students will discover how organic matter breaks down into nutrient-rich soil while learning how composting helps reduce waste. Through sorting activities, scientific investigations, and building a mini compost bin, students will explore the important role decomposition plays in helping the environment.
Survival Skills and Adventure: In this one-day survival class, students will learn practical outdoor basics through hands-on activities, teamwork, and fun challenges! Kids will learn skills such as fire building and safety, first aid, knot tying, camp set-up, and basic orienteering.
Craft Tent: Students will be able to showcase their creativity by choosing from a variety of fun and engaging craft activities.
