Additional Information

A visit to The Zekelman Holocaust Center will teach students about the Holocaust and inspire them to create a better future. They will be able to explore exhibits that include a WWII-era boxcar used by the Nazis to transport Jews and other “undesirables” to concentration camps, and the Viola and Garry Kappy Anne Frank Tree Exhibit and Garden featuring a chestnut tree grown from a sapling gifted from the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Students will also learn about the importance of standing up against prejudice, discrimination, and hate from the examples of those who risked their lives to save others during the Holocaust.

This field trip is recommended for children ages 12 and above. There is graphic content within the exhibits that may be difficult for younger visitors to see. Please make sure that your child is mature enough for this type of environment.
